Armenia to rival Azerbaijan in World Team Chess Championship 8th round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmasters scored yet another win in the 7th round of World Team Chess Championship, having beaten Hungary 2,5:1,5.Thus, Armenian team retains championship leadership with 12 points; China climbed to the 2nd position with 9 points. In case of a victory in the 8th round, Armenian team will secure a champion’s title in advance.

In the 8th round, Armenia will rival Azerbaijan (7th place with 6 points).

The pairings are as follows: Levon Aronian – Teimur Radjabov, Sergei Movsesian – Vugar Gashimov, Vladimir Akopian- Rauf Mamedov, Gabriel Sargissian – Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.
