Armenian ranks the 70th in July FIFA rankings

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 27, FIFA published the latest ranking list of national teams. Armenian national team scoring 462 points ranks the 70th.

Selection draw will be held by the end of July rankings for 2014 World Championship, which is scheduled to take place in Brazil.

It should be noted that in 2011 Armenian team had three games. Playing friendly, the team under the guidance of Vardan Minasyan yielded to Georgia with a score 1:2, while in selection tour EURO-2012 tied the home game with Russian 0:0, but lost the Russia-hosted game with a score 3:1.

Armenia’s rivals in UEFA Euro-2012 qualifying Group B are ranked as follows: Russia (17th), Slovakia (28th), the Republic of Ireland (31st), Macedonia (98th) and Andorra (203rd).

The top ten includes: Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, England, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Mexico and Argentina.
