5000 visit Yerevan-hosted Salvador Dali and the Surrealists exhibit

PanARMENIAN.Net - 5000 people visited Salvador Dali and the Surrealists exhibit launched in National Gallery of Armenia during 20 days.

The exhibit was a success both with local and foreign visitors, with young people making up the majority of them, National Gallery of Armenia press service reported.

On July 7, National Gallery of Armenia launched the printed drawings exhibit.

The exhibit, featuring 160 works is dedicated to world-known masters of surrealism, Salvador Dali, Hans Bellmer, Leonor Fini, Giorgio de Chirico.

Among other works, the exhibit highlights xylographs of abstractionism founder Wassily Kandinsky, courtesy of Christine Argillet Gallery, LA.

Works of Armenian artists, influenced by surrealism, including those by Kochar, Hakobyan, Tutunjyan, Khachatryan, Parajanov are also presented.

The exhibit will last till October 15.
