Van Way Airlines indefinitely postpones start of flights to YerevanAugust 5, 2011 - 12:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Van Way Airlines has indefinitely postponed the start of flights to the Armenian capital, Yerevan, until the company can obtain necessary permission from Ankara, the company owner said. “First, we were told that we could start the flights, then one step was taken backward, and now we are waiting for the process [to end],” Arslan Bayram said. He also said the company has information suggesting that Azerbaijan did not look upon the new route favorably. “The company aims to facilitate transportation for businesspeople between the two countries with the proposed route,” Bayram said. Noting that Van Ways offered businesspeople special flights to neighboring countries, Bayram said they are planning to expand their routes based on demand, Hürriyet Daily News reported.
