Five people injured in Russian plane accident

PanARMENIAN.Net - Five people were injured when a passenger An-24 plane skidded off the runway on Monday, August 8, in the city of Blagoveshchensk in Russia's Far East, the local emergencies ministry said.

At 8:25 a.m. Moscow time (04:25 GMT) the plane, with 36 people on board, ran off the runway during landing.

Five people received injuries, three of them, including two adults and a child, were hospitalized, a spokeswoman from the local emergencies ministry said.

Investigation is under way, RIA Novosti reported.
