ARMENIAN PRESIDENT ASKS THE PEOPLE "TO EXERT LAST EFFORTS AND DISPLAY MORE PATIENCE"

PanARMENIAN.Net - 03.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "Our people was percent for a long period of time, but, believe me, the most complicated stage of economic reforms is passed. I ask our people to display more patience," the Armenian President Robert Kocharian said in interview to the Armenian National TV.

Armenian said that he is well aware of dissatisfaction of most part of the population. "It is natural, as we do not pay pensions and salaries and there are no jobs in the state," Kocharian said.

The Armenian President said that he is optimistic and assured that the implementation of a number of large economic programs will allow not only to create a significant number of jobs in 2001 but also to allow the government to pay the debts back. -0--
