Election race must be tense but legal – CEC head

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the Armenian Central Election Committee (CEC) Garegin Azaryan says that election race must be tense but legal.

“By saying tense I mean variety of opinions. Lack of interest and contradictions do not favor the process, as it happened during the local self-government election,” he told journalists on August 13.

Commenting on violations during the elections, Azaryan informed that a number of innovations will be introduced to secure normal course of elections. He also said that the CEC will hold an extra meeting on August 15, when the district commissions will be formed.
