Karabakh issue can’t be leverage on Baku, Azeri MP saysAugust 15, 2011 - 14:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani parliament member, deputy executive secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan ruling party Mubariz Gurbanly believes that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict can’t be used as a leverage on Baku. “Azerbaijan has covered a difficult path. Our country’s stand is firm and it’s impossible to divert its political line using the conflict as a leverage,” Gurbanly said. Commenting on Russia’s foreign policy, he said that Moscow currently prefers cooperation to pressure. “All this gives reason to reach progress in talks,” Gurbanly said, Trend News reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
