OPPOSITION MEETING OF ARKADIY VARDANIAN'S SUPPORTERS STARTED WITH DELAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - 30.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. A rally with participation of supporters of the President of 21st Century association Arkadiy Vardanian has started half an hour before at the Theatre circle of Yerevan.

Earlier Vardanian announced that today, on October 30, he was going to "settle the scores with the criminal authorities of Armenia." Vardanian said that "the last stage of national-liberating struggle started."

Today, Vardanian was summoned to the Yerevan's department of Interior Affairs at the presence of the Consul of the Russian Federation (as Arkadiy Vardanian is Russian citizen). Therefore the meeting which was scheduled for 12:00 pm started with delay. Vardanian's supporters assert that the law-enforcement bodies undertook all the efforts for breaking the meeting. They also added that the office of 21st Century association is cordoned off by law-enforcement bodies. --0--
