Magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolts Japan![]() August 22, 2011 - 12:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.5 jolted coastal areas of Fukushima Prefecture early Monday, August 22, but no new abnormalities were reported at the crisis-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, Kyodo news agency reported citing the Japan Meteorological Agency and Tokyo Electric Power Co. The 7:05 am quake occurred off Fukushima. It measured 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in the town of Naraha, which is located about 16 kilometers south of the nuclear plant. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
