Armenia develops new crops forecast model

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy, Armenia jointly with the FAO is implementing a 3-year program at the amount of $492 thousand with a purpose to raise food security through collection of complete and reliable information, its further analysis and publication.

Presently, a special working group is developing a new model of crops forecast with the use of modern technologies. Three hydrological stations and devices for measuring the soil humidity have been enabled.

The cost of the equipment is $70 thousand.
