5000 people to attend barbecue fest in Akhtala

PanARMENIAN.Net - Around 5000 people will attend the annual barbecue festival to be organized by “Maintenance and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions” NGO with the assistance of the RA Economy Ministry in the town of Akhtala, Lori province on Armenia, on September 18.

“The barbecue festival aims to raise public awareness of the Armenians cuisine at international level,” NGO chairman Sedrak Mamulyan said.

For his part, head of the tourism and territorial development department at the RA Economy Ministry Mekhak Apresyan said that the event will help boost Armenia’s attractiveness for tourists.

Armenian parliament and government members, public figures as well as well-known Moscow-based actor Armen Jigarkhanyan and IBF, WBA and WBC champion Vic Darchinyan are expected to participate.
