Samsung to launch new 3 phones running Bada 2.0 OS![]() August 30, 2011 - 13:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung has announced three new phones running its Bada 2.0 operating system: the Wave 3, Wave M, and Wave Y, according to ThisIsMyNext. The Wave 3 is the most powerful of the bunch, with a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, 1.4GHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus. The “full metal” body is made of anodized aluminum, weighing 122 grams. The Wave 3 was previously leaked by Samsung’s very own app earlier this week along with the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7. The Wave M and Wave Y are the mid-tier and entry-level entrants, respectively. They have lower-end specs to match those tiers. The Wave M comes with an 832MHz processor, a 3.65-inch 320×480 screen, and a 5-megapixel camera. The Wave Y has the same processor and resolution, but on a smaller 3.2-inch screen with only a 2-megapixel camera around back. All three run Samsung’s Bada 2.0 operating system, which now includes Samsung’s custom messaging platform, ChatOn. Samsung is also hoping to bring in app developers with a full SDK. Although NFC (Near Field Communication), voice recognition, and direct WiFi sharing are all new in Bada 2.0, Samsung is still targeting the OS at new smartphone users. ![]() ![]() Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
