Henrik Mkhitaryan believes Armenia to make it to EURO-2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan believes that the team’s 4:0 victory in UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier against Slovakia was not accidental.

“Slovakia are a strong team. But we showed a wonderful game. And actually in Slovakia we played the same game we showed in Andorra,” Mkhitaryan said, quoted by lifesports.ru.

The player confessed he is not interested in other teams, Russia among them. “For the first time we have a chance like this. We will make the best of it and will spare no effort. I saw our country cheer over the victory against Slovakia, and we tasked ourselves with making it repeatedly. I believe we will make it to EURO-2012.”

Armenia scored 14 points to take up 3rd place in UEFA EURO 2012 Group B.

Matches against Macedonia and Ireland are scheduled for October 7 and 11 respectively.
