Armenia’s President to pay a state visit to Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a state visit to Russia.

According to the Kremlin’s official web site, on September 14 Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev and Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan had a telephone conversation.

Sargsyan called to congratulate Medvedev on his birthday. Dmitry Medvedev thanked for the kindest wishes.

During the conversation heads of states stressed the importance of preparations of Serzh Sargsyan’s October visit to Russia.

A state visit is the highest kind of visits of heads of states. From the view point of protocol content of events, ceremonial honor and the level of participation of official figures, it is more complete. A head of a foreign state may pay a state visit to a country once only during his continuous fulfillment of powers of authority.
