  Expert: NKR army proved capable of neutralizing drones  September 15, 2011 - 13:53 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - The shooting down of an Azeri drone by the Nagorno Karabakh army is a unique phenomenon, an expert said. “The NKR army proved capable of neutralizing drones,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a press conference in Yerevan on September 15. “If I am not mistaken it was an Israeli-made Hermes 450 drone the cost which varies between USD 2 million and 10 million.” He praised the fact that the drone was shot down by a device produced by Armenian defense industry. “Armenia has started using its military potential,” Hovhannisyan said. On September 14, Artsakh armed forces shot down an Azeri drone which was exploring the territory of NKR in Askeran direction of the line of contact. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
