PM: Armenia enters economic activity stage

PanARMENIAN.Net - National Statistical Service-released data proves that Armenia has entered an economic activity stage, according to Armenian Prime Minister.

At September 22 government sitting, Tigran Sargsyan noted progress in economic activity, with a growth reported as compared to GDP index.

According to PM, significant upsurge is noted in agriculture and industry. “Construction sector is still problematic, with continuing slump reported,” Sargsyan said.

In this context, he emphasized the importance of economy diversification to reduce fluctuation risks. “At present, Armenia’s out of danger; even a dramatic slump in one of economy sectors can’t result in 14% drop like it did in 2009,” the Prime Minister resumed.
