A festive reception at Metropolitan Palace hotel hosted high-ranking Lebanese officials as well as influential figures of Armenian Diaspora. Armenian Ambassador Ashot Kocharyan delivered an opening speech, specifically stressing firm Armenia-Diaspora ties as well as high level of cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon. In the framework of festive events, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I congratulated all the representatives of Armenian Embassy on the Independence Day, Armeian Foreign Ministry press service reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
