ANC will boost mass rallies to struggle against authorities - coordinatorSeptember 27, 2011 - 16:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc will use the whole range of Constitution-stipulated means in a struggle against ruling authorities, according to ANC coordinator. “According to the Constitution, citizens are entitled to peaceful rallies, marches and other mass events. We’re free to pick the most effective means out of range offered,” Levon Zurabyan told a news conference in Yerevan. Zurabyan went on to comment about the suspended coalition-opposition dialogue, “last spring, the authorities, aware of public determination, were forced to make concessions. However, the authorities stopped halfway believing the pressure to have subsided.” On September 23, ANC urged those present at Yerevan-hosted opposition rally to prepare for civil disobedience march. As ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian announced, more frequent rallies are to follow, with ANC posing new demands to authorities.
