Putin may promote Karabakh settlement?![]() September 27, 2011 - 18:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Vladimir Putin’s accession to presidency might introduce drastic changes to the course of Karabakh settlement, according to Azerbaijani parliamentarian. “It’s time for Putin to list substantial progress in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict among his achievements,” Azerbaijani media cited Rasim Musabekov as saying. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev proposed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to run for the post in next year's election. Speaking at the annual congress of the ruling United Russia party on September 24, Medvedev said he was ready to do "practical work in the government." Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
