Armenia midfielder: we have a good chance

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian national team held the only open training session ahead of the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers against Macedonia and Ireland.

Shakhtar midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan and Metallurg forwards Gevorg Ghazaryan and Marcos Pizzelli arrived in Yerevan on October 3 evening. Later, they were joined by Araz Ozbiliz from Ajax.

“We must do our best to gain 6 points in the matches against Macedonia and Ireland. We have a good chance that must not be missed,” midfielder Karlen Mkrtchyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to Gevorg Ghazaryan, the matches will not be easy to win. “I can’t guarantee a victory against Ireland, but we will exert ourselves to win,” he said.

The matches against Macedonia and Ireland are scheduled for October 7 in Yerevan and October 11 in Dublin respectively.
