Lebanese Speaker praises Armenian community’s role in country’s development![]() October 5, 2011 - 13:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 5, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Nabih Berri, the speaker of Lebanese parliament, currently in Yerevan on an official visit. Welcoming the guest, Mr. Nalbandian gave high assessment between Armenia-Lebanon friendly ties. During the meeting, the parties focused on a number of political, trade and economic issues, mutually stressing the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the development of bilateral relations. Mr. Berri noted the role of Lebanese Armenian community in political, economic and cultural life of the country. Discussion of South Caucasus conflicts was also on meeting agenda, Foreign Ministry’s press service reported. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
