 12 06.10.11 - French president Nicolas Sarkozy's arrival in Armenia                 French President arrives in Armenia  October 6, 2011 - 17:29 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - French President Nicolas Sarkozy has arrived in Armenia, with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan welcoming him at Zvartnots international airport. Mr. Sarkozy then proceeded to Holy Etchmiadzin to meet with Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II. The meeting will be followed by a visit to Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial. An October 7 meeting with Armenian President, and later, a joint news conference, is on Mr. Sarkozy’s visit agenda. President Sarkozy will also attend the unveiling of Jules Bastien-Lepage Auguste Rodin’s sculpture in Yerevan’s Square of France. In the afternoon, Mr. Sarkozy will leave the Armenian capital. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
