Armenian may become full IPA member in 2012October 14, 2011 - 12:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 2-9, 2012, Armenia’s full membership in International Police Association (IPA) will be discussed at an Israel-hosted summit, according to the head of IPA Armenian subsidiary. As Colonel Grisha Sargsyan told a news conference in Yerevan, at September 20-25 summit in Bucharest, Turkey was heatedly opposing Armenia’s membership amid determined support of U.S, France and Israel. “Out of 63 IPA member states, Armenia has diplomatic relations with only 24. I hope IPA full membership will help Armenia establish ties with those countries, thus extending legal support to Armenian minorities Yerevan has no diplomatic relations with,” the Colonel stated. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
