ARMENIA STANDS FOR BIZONAL BICOMMUNAL SOLUTION TO CYPRUS ISSUE

PanARMENIAN.Net - 30.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenia fully supports the establishment of a bizonal, bicommunal unified state of Cyprus, Armenian Ambassador to Cyprus, Armen Petrosyan said this, reports Xinhua.

Presenting his credentials to Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides, Petrosyan said that Armenia closely follows recent developments on the island and that a stronger and unified Cyprus will play a greater role in the international arena. Petrosyan also expressed Armenia's support to Cyprus' efforts to join the European Union. -0-
