Strong tremors continue in Van

PanARMENIAN.Net - European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports that a 5.4 magnitude earthquake has taken place, epicenter being eastern Turkey, near Van city at the depth of 80 km.

According to various estimates, earthquake measuring 5-6 on Richter scale rocked Yerevan. Comparably stronger tremors were felt in the northern part of the city, where residents left their houses waiting for messages from the Service of Seismic Protection and Emergency Ministry.
