1593 road accidents reported in Jan–Sept 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - 1593 road accidents were reported in January–September 2011; 538 of them running –down incidents against 1974 road accidents with 752 of them running down incidents over the same period in 2010. 96 children were involved in 2010's accidents, with 8 deaths reported.

As head of Yerevan traffic patrol service of the RA Police Norik Sargsyan told a news conference in Yerevan, since 2008, the police are implementing strict monitoring to decrease the number of road accidents. “Despite success observed over the last years, there’s still room for improvement,” he noted.
