Mannes Orchestra to perform Alan Hovhaness’ symphony

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Mannes Orchestra, which gave an impressive performance at Alice Tully Hall in September, now takes the main stage at Carnegie Hall, NY, for a free program offering a recent piece by Aaron Jay Kernis, a symphony by the Armenian-American composer Alan Hovhaness and Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring.”

The orchestra will be conducted by David Hayes, The New York Times reports.
