NEAR EAST ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES ARE READY TO TAKE ACTIVE PART IN FUND RAISING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 'NORTH-SOUTH' HIGHWAY IN RNK

The Armenian communities of the Near East are ready to take an active part in the fund raising TV marathon, planned in autumn 2000, for the construction of "North-South" highway in RNK. Karapet Kababjian, the permanent representative of RNK in the Near Eastern countries and Abo Chaparian, the executive editor of the American weekly "Armenian life" paper told about this at the meeting with the prime minister of RNK, Anushavan Danielian, reports the correspondent of MEDIAMAX from Stepanakert.

Development possibilities of economic and cultural relations with the countries of the Near East, in particular, with Lebanon were discussed during the meeting. K.Kebabjian presented the investment programs worked out by the Armenian businessmen in such spheres of RNK's economy as leather processing, jewelry, producing of mineral waters and fruit juices. -0-
