THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF DEFENCE OF ARMENIA ANATOLY ZINEVICH HAS DECEASEDAugust 2, 2000 - 18:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 02.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The deputy minister of defence of Armenia Lieutenant-General Anatoly Zinevich died suddenly on August 1, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the Information department of the Ministry of Defence of Armenia.Anatoly Zinevich was born in 1932 in the Ukrainian town of Khmelnitsk. In 1953 he entered Proskurovsk tank school, after graduation he continued his studies in the Military Academy after Frunze. Zinevich had served in Afghanistan, Somalia and Ethiopia. Anatoly Zinevich began his service in the Armed Forces of Armenia in 1992. In 1992-1994 he held the posts of the counselor of the defence minister of Armenia, the first deputy head of the Chief Headquarters, assistant of the defence minister of Armenia. In 1994-1997 Zinevich was the first deputy Commander of the Defence Army of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, at the same time heading the Chief Headquarters of the Armed Forces of RNK. Since 1997 Anatoly Zinevich had been the deputy Minister of Defence of Armenia. Today the ceremony of farewell with Anatoly Zinevich will take place in Yerevan Officer House.
