Rumors on Gevorgyan’s resignation have been afloat since Armenian Police Chief Alik Sargsyan was relieved of his position. As reported on November 1, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will resign his position to head RPA electoral headquarters. As Abrahamyan told journalists after RPA council sitting, after the Party’s suggesting him to head electoral headquarters, he resolved to give up the speaker’s post to more effectively conduct the campaign.
