TURKEY IS NAMED THE LEADING EURASIAN COUNTRY AT THE FOURTH EURASIAN COUNCIL MEETING

PanARMENIAN.Net - 28.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. All the participants of the Fourth Eurasian Islamic Council meeting, organized in Sarajevo, came to the opinion that the Turkish should be the "superior language" among the Muslim people living in Eurasia and Balkans.

According to "Aksam" paper, the head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, Mehmet Nuri Yilmaz, declared : "Balkans, Caucasus and the Turkish-speaking Republics are of great importance for the region where Turkey is the leading country. There is a need for cultural centers that teach Turkish in the Balkans and Eurasia". -0-
