Norway stands for peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflict - Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - Norway stands for peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Norwegian Foreign Minister said.

“Norway and Azerbaijan have good relations due to implementation of joint gas projects. However, my country supports settlement based on the international law norms,” Jonas Gahr Store told a briefing in Yerevan.

He also emphasized that European countries should strengthen relations with Armenia for a better awareness of regional developments.

The Norwegian Foreign Minister is in Armenia on an official visit. He is scheduled to meet with the country’s top figures, including President Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II.

A meeting with Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has already taken place.
