Tbilisi perceives Armenia as traditional regional ally – expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Director of Caucasus Institute believes political forces of Tbilisi to perceive Armenia as a traditional regional ally, despite certain anti-Armenian moods in Georgian society.

“Also, political forces in question view Armenia as a mediator in inevitable normalization of Russia-Georgia ties,” Sergey Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

For his part, program coordinator at Yerkir Union of NGOs for Repatriation and Settlement Robert Tatoyan stated that Georgia needs Armenia to resist Turkish and Azeri expansion.
