U.S. Ambassador ready to contribute to agriculture development in ArmeniaNovember 9, 2011 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan met with a delegation led by the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern. At the meeting, the Minister briefed the Ambassador on implementation of governmental as well as foreign structures- sponsored agriculture programs. In his context, the Minister specifically pointed out the project on development of processing industry, implemented jointly with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The parties gave high assessment to the activities of Millennium Challenge Account Armenia and Rural Development and Agribusiness project. In conclusion, the Ambassador expressed readiness to contribute to implementation of agricultural projects and strengthening of cooperation, Agriculture Ministry press service reported.
