THE FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA RECEIVED THE DELEGATION OF THE GERMAN BUNDESTAG

PanARMENIAN.Net - 17.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the foreign minister of Armenia, Vardan Oskanian received the multi-party delegation of the economic cooperation and development committee of the German Bundestag, headed by Peter Weiss (Christian-Democratic Union).

It was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the ministry of foreign affairs that the sides expressed contentment with the level of the development of the economic relations between the two countries. The interlocutors discussed perspectives of regional economic cooperation and possible spheres Germany and the European Union could render assistance in.

Touching upon the present economic situation in Armenia, the interlocutors stressed the necessity of support to private foreign investments.

At the request of deputy Weiss, minister Oskanian presented the present stage of the peace settlement of the Karabakh issue. -0-
