On the same day, Artsakh leader met the president of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Berge Setrakian and members of the organization’s central board. The parties discussed projects implemented in Artsakh, with President Sahakyan stressing AGBU role in the development of the Republic and the need for the Union’s further contributions. Head of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the USA Tatoul Markarian, permanent representative of the Republic of Armenia to UN Karen Nazaryan, head of the central information department of the office of the NKR President David Babayan, NKR permanent representative to USA and Canada Robert Avetisyan and other officials partook in the meeting. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
