Armenia votes against anti-Iran resolution

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia voted against the anti-Iran resolution, adopted by UN General Assembly.

The resolution, initiated by Saudi Arabia, was adopted by 106 votes, with 40 countries to abstain.

Armenia along with Bolivia, Cuba, North Korea, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Zambia voted against the resolution.

President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had prior stated that accusations against the Iranian authorities for an attempt to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States were initiated by Washington.

Two Iranians were accused of attempting to murder the Saudi ambassador to the United States on November 11. One of them U.S. citizen Manssor Arbabsiar allegedly admitted that he had acted under the guidance of high-level Iranian officials.
