THE REGULAR MONITORING OT THE LINE OF CONTACT OF THE MILITARY FORCES OF RNK AND AZERBAIJAN HAS PASSED WITHOUT INCIDENTS

On July 9 the meeting of the Personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-In-Office Andjey Kaspzyk with the minister of defense of RNK Seyran Ohanian took place, at which the results of the monitoring of the line of contact of the military forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan were discussed.

The correspondent of MEDIAMAX in RNK reports that on July 8 the mission of the OSCE held a monitoring of the line of contact of the military forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, which passes along the Mravian mountain ridge at the height of about 3400 meters above the sea level.

From the territory controlled by the Karabakh forces, the observation was realized under the guidance of the Personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-In-Office Andjey Kaspzyk. The head of the OSCE High level planning group Colonel Bernard Vialatte (France), field assistants of the Personal representative Shandor Yuhas (Hungary) and Steffen Buchmayer (Austria) were also included in the composition of the mission.

Due to the thick fog the visual contact between the observation groups on both sides of the line of contact was not realized, only radio exchange took place. The members of the OSCE mission held a briefing on actual situation with the commanders responsible for that defense section. No violations of the cease-fire routine were fixed in the course of the monitoring. The OSCE observation group was accompanied by representatives of ministries of defense and foreign affairs of RNK. -0-
