AZERBAIJAN BECOMES ACTIVE IN KARABAKH SETTLEMENTDecember 24, 2003 - 19:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev stated official Baku and specifically his department intend to activate efforts aiming at attaining a final solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Guliyev also emphasized that he has already held talks with Russian ambassador to the OSCE Minsk Group Yuri Merzlyakov. The Azeri foreign department assesses the outcome of the negotiations rather positively, "CentrAN" agency reported.Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
