PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian won the 8th round game against Russia’s Peter Svidler to become the sole leader of Tal Memorial under way in Moscow, Russia.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Ian Nepomniatchi (Russia), Sergei Karjakin (Russia) and Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) have 4.5 points each.

In the last round, Aronian, who gained 5 points, will face Nepomniatchi. The other pairings are: Peter Svidler – Vladimir Kramnik (Russia); Sergei Karjakin - Vassily Ivanchuk, Boris Gelfand (Israel) – Viswanathan Anand (India); Hikaru Nakamura (U.S.) - Magnus Carlsen.
