Karen Grigoryan climbs to 7th place at World Youth Chess Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Karen Grigoryan defeated Izzat Kanan of Azerbaijan in the 8th round of U16 tournament of the World Youth Chess Championship to climb to the 7th place with 6 points.

Hovhannes Gabuzyan suffered his first defeat by Jorge Cori of Peru and dropped to the 9th place.

In the next round, Grigoryan and Gabuzyan will face Idani Pouya (India) and Denis Kadric (Bosnia & Herzegovina) respectively.
