Iran equips navy with 3 more submarines![]() November 28, 2011 - 09:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Iranian Navy expanded the fleet of its submarines after it received three more Ghadir-class submarines, Iranian Army's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said. "All parts of these submarines, including their body and their advanced radar equipment and defense systems, have been designed and manufactured by our country's defense experts and with the help of the Defense Ministry," he said. The Iranian military officials said that the submarine can easily evade detection as it is equipped with sonar-evading technology and can fire missiles and torpedoes simultaneously, Fars News Agency reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
