  Guitarist Joao Kouyoumdjian to perform in NY November 28, 2011 - 12:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Joao Kouyoumdjian, a Brazilian-Armenian guitarist, will perform in Carnegie Hall, New York, on November 28, 2011. According to jornal.us, the project is presented and co-sponsored by the Consulate General of Brazil in New York and consists of a solo guitar recital featuring traditional Brazilian repertoire and premiers of pieces by Brazilian composers Raimundo Penaforte and Ricardo Calderoni. Joao Kouyoumdjian will also receive guest artists Paulo Martelli (guitar), Kathryn Farenish (flute), Marta Kukularova (soprano) and Welson Tremura (guitar). Guitar virtuoso Paulo Martelli describes Joao Kouyoumdjian as “one of the most extraordinary Brazilian guitarists of his generation.” Program includes traditional Brazilian music and world premieres by Raimundo Penaforte and Ricardo Calderoni.
