Ameriabank to double SMEs loan portfolio in 2012 November 29, 2011 - 16:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank CJSC loan portfolio of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) totals about 30% of corporate sector or about USD 100 million. “We intend to double loan portfolio of small and middle business sector in 2012,” Ameriabank CJSC director for corporate clients Gagik Sahakyan said. On November 29, Yerevan hosted an official signing ceremony of a loan agreement between Ameriabank CJSC and Asian Development Bank (ADB), under which the latter will provide Armenia USD 20mln. to help it expand small and medium-size business sector. According to Sahakyan, this will lead to growth of corporate portfolio that presently grosses USD 300 mln and increase of SMEs loan portfolio up to 40 %. Ameriabank CJSC has adopted a development strategy to become a universal bank and strengthen its positions in Armenian banking system.
