CIS cooperation in construction sector discussedNovember 29, 2011 - 20:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 29, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with members of CIS Intergovernmental Council for Cooperation in Construction headed by Russian Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin. “Such meetings foster exchange of experience and strengthening of friendly ties between our countries,” Sargsyan said. During the meeting, the parties stressed the existence of all conditions for developing cooperation in construction sector within CIS. Basargin noted that the agreement reached envisages new stage of certification and licensing that would lead to resolution of systemic issues. Tigran Sargsyan, in turn, noted that government currently focuses on developing new projects aimed at restoration of housing units that date back to Soviet times and the issue of their seismic resistance, RA governmental press service reported.
