U.S. denies Iran shot down its droneDecember 5, 2011 - 09:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A U.S. official on Sunday, December 4, denied an Iranian claim that a U.S. reconnaissance drone aircraft was shot down in eastern Iran. An unnamed U.S official said nothing indicated to Washington that a drone that had crashed in Iran had actually been shot down. According to Digital Journal, a U.S official said: "There is absolutely no indication up to this point that Iranians shot down this drone." Iran's military said it shot down a U.S. Army drone inside its territory near the Afghan and Pakistani borders on Sunday, and threatened to retaliate for the violation.
