Samvel Nikoyan will pay visit to NKR if elected as parliament speaker

PanARMENIAN.Net - Samvel Nikoyan, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) nominee for parliament speaker, promised to pay a visit to Nagorno Karabakh Republic if elected to the post.

When asked to share his plans on activation of parliamentary diplomacy, Nikoyan noted, “as you know, the President is in charge of forming the country’s foreign policy. So the parliamentary diplomacy must not clash with the foreign policy.”

Also, Nikoyan gave high assessment to the activities of ex-speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, resulting in intensification of Armenia’s parliamentary diplomacy in the framework of CSTO, CIS, NATO, CoE and other international platforms.
