  Samvel Nikoyan: party backs the candidacy, MPs vote December 6, 2011 - 13:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Candidate for Armenian National Assembly speaker’s post Samvel Nikoyan said that “party backs the candidacy, while MPs vote.” “Nobody occupies the post for good,” Nikoyan said, dwelling on series of resignations that brought about the December 6 voting. He further slammed some opposition forces which insist that Nikoyan was offered the post “for frustrating the work of the March 1 investigation committee.” Nikoyan also noted that, if elected, he will not redress his predecessor Hovik Abrahamyan’s course.
