Armen Martirosyan nominated for vice speaker of parliament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage opposition party leader nominated Armen Martirosyan for Armenian National Assembly’s vice speaker.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominee, former secretary of RPA faction Eduard Sharmazanov was chosen as Martirosyan’s contender.

A secret ballot will follow after candidates finalize presentation of their position-related programs.

Today, December 6, Samvel Nikoyan was elected to the post of Armenian National Assembly speaker. During the secret ballot, the candidacy of the vice speaker of parliament, RPA nominee Nikoyan was supported by 102 votes, while Heritage opposition party candidate Larisa Alaverdyan received 4 votes.
